Revolve donates N95 masks to hospitals in need during the fight against Covid-19

In a March 24 post on Instagram, the e-tailer announced that it is first donating 10,000 masks to two hospitals located in Los Angeles that need support with protective equipment.”Our doctors and nurses are on the front lines risking their lives to save ours, and are often doing so without adequate protective equipment,” Revolve said. “Revolve’s mission for this initiative is to do anything we can to support our sisters and brothers, and hope to be able to make donations in the future.”

On top of the 10,000 masks going to Los Angeles hospitals, Revolve said it also has an additional stock of 20,000 hospital approved face masks ready to be distributed. The company has asked its followers and network of influencers to help the company identify other hospitals where masks are needed.   “Please share this post and tag your front line friends, nurses and doctors who work at hospitals to help spread our message,” the company said. “If you or [someone else] know of a hospital in need of masks, please email [email protected].”Besides the N95 masks, Revolve will also start including a high-filtration face mask in every customer order it can in an effort to limit the spread of the virus, effective immediately. The company noted that these masks are not fit for hospital use, and would not be accepted by hospitals. This week, Revolve Group Inc. announced it is withdrawing its previous financial guidance issued on February 25, in response to the Covid-19 outbreak causing a significant year-over-year decline in sales. The company further anticipates a slide in overall consumer demand in coming months as a result of pandemic-related requirements for social distancing.
